Center for Law and
Education,
www.cleweb.org
CLE works to advance the rights of students with disabilities -- from federal
policy through state and local implementation. As one of the few national
organizations that is firmly rooted in both disability rights and school
reform, CLE has focused increasingly on bringing the two together -- in order
to help ensure, for example, that individualized education programs,
assessment practices, etc. are aimed at ensuring that students with
disabilities meet high standards, rather than being vehicles for lower
expectations.
